Description
Letters between Lidderdale and Mr Graham-Harrison and Mr Guppy of the Home Office discussing the circumstances of the confiscation of 500 copies of 'Ulysses' by HM Customs & Excise in 1923. Discussion of the date of the confiscation, whether there had been an earlier confiscation of a single volume in 1922, and the fate of the two volumes sent to the Home Office. Includes copies of letters from Lidderdale.
