| Description | Katz visited the Soviet Union under an exchange agreement between the Royal Society and the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. He delivered lectures and seminars and visited several Institutes in Moscow, Kiev, Tblisi and Leningrad, including the Moscow Biophysics Institute, Institute of Physiology of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Physiology of the Georgian Academy of Sciences, Pavlov Institute and Institute of Cytology.
