Description	Between 1983 and 1991 Martin Lightfoot worked for the Department of Government at Brunel University, specifically the Centre for the Study of Community and Race Relations, where he was Director, and the Education Policy Centre where he was Co-Director. He also contributed to two funded projects relating to the provision of education in London and nationwide. Whilst with the Education Policy Centre Lightfoot was an external advisor to Southwark Borough Council during the Council's development of education provision after the abolition of the Inner London Education Authority (ILEA). Papers relate to all areas of Lightfoot's work for the Department.
