| Description | Lonsdale attended meetings of the Round Table, held at University College London, at which a proposal was discussed (c.1963) to establish a centre for research into international conflict at the university. Lonsdale also agreed to act as one of the sponsors of a conference 'The contributions of science to the resolution of international conflict', planned for 28 and 29 June 1963.
