Six letters from the London Parents' Ballot Campaign requesting money for the ballot, as follows:
- Letter 1: Written to John Snow on 8 Mar 1988 laying out the campaigns financial situation and requesting a gift and a guarantee.
- Letter 2: Addressed to Mr Smith, The General Secretary of the Assistant Masters and Mistresses Association, dated 15 Feb 1988 asking whether they would consider matching the Greater London Staff Associations contribution, at £5000, or any other sum which would be greatfully received.
- Letter 3: To Mr Rowley, The Town Clerk of the Corporation of London, dated 19 Feb 1988 requesting funds, preferably £500 or £1000.
- Letter 4: Written to Peter Herbert, N.A.S. / U.W.T., no date, asking for 'a donation: £10,000 would not be beyond our wildest dreams, but whatever you can spare in four, or even in three, figures would delight us.' Also requests a loan, again, of around £10,000 is the figure suggested.
- Letter 5: Addressed to Mr Brooke, The Chief Executive Officer of Westminster City Council, dated 19 Feb 1988, requesting a donation with the suggested figure of £500 or £1000.
- Letter 6: Addressed to Mr Lea, The Chief Executive Officer of Tower Hamlets Borough Council, dated 19 Feb 1988, requesting a donation with the suggested figure of £500 or £1000.
