- Newspaper cutting from 'News Shipper 24/3' with the headline 'Minister refuses to help with ILEA ballot' relating to the education minister, Kenneth Baker's refusal to help funding the ballot.

- Card of hand-written notes, presumably for Tom Gretton's speech at the Gala event on the 27 March 1988. In the notes thanks are offered to the perforners, producers and Diana Simpson, the Treasurer.

- Newspaper cutting with headline 'Baker balks at ballot bid', with the annotation 'W. Ind 11/3', reporting on Kenneth Baker, the education secretary, and his refusal to fund the ballot.
