- A cutting containing two printed letters with the papers that they were printed in annotated by hand. The first is taken from the Independent on 20 April from Patsy Nutall, who helped with the London Parents' Ballot Campaign and comments on the lack of response from those in favour of abolishing the ILEA. The other is a letter from Stewart of Fulham, taken from the Times on 22 April, regarding a precious article written by Lord Beloff.

- A newspaper cutting from the TES from 2 May 1988 (annotated) and headed 'Select Committee Meetings' listing the meetings planned over the next days.

- A cutting containing two articles, one with the annotation 'Ind', presumably Independent, from 13 May regarding 'Bishop in effort to save ILEA' and one from the TES from 13 May 1988 (annotated) headed 'Bishop's Move'. Both articles report on the Bishop of London's opposition to the abolition of the ILEA and proposed amendments to the bill.

- A newspaper cutting with the annotation 'Camden New Journal' and the headline 'Rallying to the ILEA' with a picture of Cardinal Hulme and parents involved in the London Parents' Ballot Campaign. The article regards the support of Cardinal Hulme, the Archbishop of Westminster for the ballot campaign and his opposition to the abolition of the ILEA. No date given.

- A cutting taken from the Guardian on 19 April (annotation) headed 'Peers protest at ILEA abolition', concerning the differing views on the abolition of the ILEA from The Bishop of London, Baroness Hopper and others.
