The material covers a challenge to the Christian Church to be more unified and based around common belief, made in an article Reid co-authored with Roy Niblett and M.V.C Jeffired, published in December 1943, which became known as 'The Declaration of the Three Professors'. Press articles from the local newspapers in Newcastle cover the 'challenge to the churches', and the reaction to this challenge. This folder also contains correspondence with various people and religious organisations, and a copies of the declaration itself. |
