DescriptionFollowing a spell with a Swiss family in Lausanne in 1926, Mary Medd started 'architecture' at the Architectural Association in Bedford Square. She commuted daily between Welwyn Garden City and London (Kings Cross) and eventually graduated after 5 years with an Architectural Association Diploma in 1932. She was also awarded a medal from the French 'Societe des Architectes' called 'Diploma par le Governement' and later, in 1934, she became an Associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

This series contains material from Mary's time at the Architectual Association, including photographic material of AA visits such as the visit to Denmark and Sweden in 1930.
