Description	File of papers relating to the CEN Standard for chalkboards and writing surfaces including an article entitled 'The Selection of Suitable Chalkboard Colours' from RIBA Journal (August 1952); 'Writing Board for Educational Institutions - Ergonomic, Technical and Safety Requirements and their Test Methods' by the European Committee for Standardization (April 2002); and, the draft of a European Standard entitled 'Laboratory Furniture: Storage Units for Laboratories' (23 October 2000). Although David Medd was not directly concerned with these publications, he was sent copies and he has written on the subject of colour for chalkboard and this subject has been ignored in these publications.
