Description | Pamphlet entitled 'The Village College, Impington, Cambridgeshire: Programme of Educational and Recreational Activities for the Winter,' 09 Oct 1944-29 Mar 1945. In the introduction Impington is described as 'a Community Centre housing a Senior School. The Centre serves a population of about 10,000 in ten villages. It was devised by Henry Morris, Director of Education for Cambridge and inventor of the Village College, and designed by Walter Gropius (now Professor of Architecture at Harvard University, USA) and Maxwell Fry'. |
