DescriptionDeed of gift, on parchment with pendant seal attached. Robert Ude de Hunnyfold grants to John de Pokeford two of his fields in Pokeford called the Highefure and the Litelfure, with appurtenances. Consideration: one penny to be paid on Christmas day for all secular services, customs, suits of courts, gifts, feudal aid, wardships, marriages etc. Conditions: Robert Ude de Hunnyford and his heirs retain a right of way; John de Pokeford and his heirs are not to lease or sell the land to a third party provided Robert Ude and his heirs will meet the same price. Witnesses: John de Bursebrigg' [Bunsbridge], Richard de Heysull, William atte fenne, Robert de Chudyngefold [Chiddingford], Richard atte Rigge, Robert Le bucher, William de Oulyngehurst and many others.
