Report of a visit made by Hazel Brookeman regarding a visit to the USA May-June 1984. Brookeman was the Equal Opportunities Officer for Further and Higher Education at ILEA and visited the USA to observe American further and higher education institutions with regards to equal opportunities. She met and interviewed a range of people.

In 1983 Kate Myers spent three months in the USA where she researched work that had been completed under the parameters of Title IX, a landmark federal civil rights law in the USA that prohibits sex based discrimination in any educational setting that receives federal funding.
