DescriptionBuzzard recounts the cause of death of Mrs Hughlings Jackson, as he recalled being informed by Jackson himself: meningeal haemorrhage. He is inclined to think that Jenner had attended her during her illness with her husband. Buzzard is very glad to hear that Taylor will write about Jackson in the Dictionary of National Biography.

AdminHistoryJackson's wife, his cousin Elizabeth Dade Jackson, died in 1876. The cause of her death has been identified as cerebral septic thrombo-phlebitis as a consequence of which she also developed seizures of the Jacksonian type.
