Description
A handwritten letter by Professor McMenemy to Dr Greenfield dated 1936, discovered in the archives of the Neuropathology Department, Maida Vale. Perhaps the first written document, which discusses a disease known today as 'familial British dementia'. Both Drs McMenemy and Greenfield were part of the papers (two of them in Brain), which first described this disease. The description/discovery of this disease is closely linked to the National Hospitals (both Queen Square and Maida Vale)
