Description	Papers regarding communication and collaboration between the MRC National Survey of Health and Development (NSHD) and the Department of Health and the Population Investigation Committee (PIC). The PIC initially set up the maternity survey that became the NSHD, and a Joint Committee of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists and the PIC oversaw and advised on the early survey work.
