Description	Papers regarding the Medical Research Council (MRC)'s 1997 review of the MRC National Survey of Health and Development (NSHD). As the NSHD's core costs have been funded by the MRC since 1962, the MRC carries out these reviews of the study every 5 years. They are therefore also known as 'quinquennial reviews' or ‘QQRs’. This file includes: - the report of a subcommittee, which visited the NSHD in October 1992 on behalf of the MRC Health Services and Public Health Research Board (HSRB); - the Board's evaluation of the NSHD review, including an extract from HSRB meeting minutes; - correspondence with the MRC; - the NSHD's written responses to the report of the visiting subcommittee.
