Description | Instructions for the processing and coding of data, in the National Survey of Health and Development (NSHD). These documents cover how data in the NSHD has been extracted from questionnaires, using variables with coded names.
In the early years of the study, coding and processing was done using punched cards. However, in the late 1980s the data was transferred to digital files, and in 1994 the NSHD got its own computers. |
