DescriptionDocuments regarding ethical considerations for the data to be collected around the 2006-2009 period for the MRC National Survey of Health and Development (NSHD). This phase the study's data collection was known as 'Life course pathways to ageing’. This folder includes documents relating to both the feasibility study and the main study, and specifically contains the following records:

- data sharing agreements with the NHS and the Office of National Statistics (ONS);
- correspondence with ethical bodies for approval, including COREC - Central Office for Research Ethics Committees (2005), regarding an upcoming NSHD data collection;
- a report to the Department of Health entitled 'Copying letters to Patients';
- correspondence about the destruction of data;
- instructions on how to respond to study members' electro cardiograms, and template letters to GPs and study members.
