| Description | MRC National Survey of Health and Development (NSHD) correspondence with study members, and with health workers about study members. The topics covered include changes of address, attempts to trace study members, the death of study members, people opting out of the study, thankyou letters from study members, update letters from study members about their lives and families, and enquiries about possible birthday celebrations for study members. The file also includes some requests to hospitals and health authorities for medical information about study members, from the NSHD team.
Some study members contacted the NSHD to ask for advice regarding their personal life circumstances at the time. The content of some of these letters and notes includes references to suicidal thoughts, and child sexual abuse. |
