- A newspaper cutting of a letter from a parent of children at the school, to Councillor Mrs Cecilia McAskill, setting the record straight about the school.
- A handwritten page headed “Maurice Punch – Guardian 1973”, with extracts from an article about free schools, alongside notes.
- A folded leaflet headed “White Lion Street Free School – an inner city success story….?”. Includes an introduction describing the school and its history, paragraphs about the curriculum, meetings, becoming part of the ILEA, and finances, and personal experiences of a parent, member of staff, past pupil, and current students.
- A page from the newspaper The Weekly Educational Review, dated 17 May 1979, featuring an article about the school written by Nigel Wright.
- An article about the school by Roy Kerridge, published in the Winter 1984 issue of The Salisbury Review. [See NW/2 for another copy.] The article is largely critical of the school and the behaviour of the children. There is a typed draft reply to this article, providing a rebuttal and correcting various statements made by Kerridge, as well as correspondence with Roger Scruton, editor of the Salisbury Review, and an amended copy of the draft. Includes a copy of the “Letters” page of the Salisbury Review, July 1984, with Nigel Wright’s letter printed, and a response by Roy Kerridge.
- A letter from Nigel Wright to the editor of The Guardian, dated 18 February 1985, regarding Roger Scruton’s defence of a headteacher after a slanderous article in The Guardian.
