DescriptionPhotocopies of meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and memos regarding the planning of a series of broadcasts on the future of India, by the BBC Eastern Service. These documents cover discussions over the format and structure of the series, as well as which guests to invite, and the assumed preferences of the English-speaking Indian audience. The “round table” format was decided upon, and George Orwell (under the name Eric Blair) was part of the sub-committee which was formed to plan the series of round table discussions.
