Description<p>Letters from W Bulloch, FRS, (1868-1941) to Pearson:</p>

<p>Letters dated 1909 regarding Bashford's views on cancer, and Bulloch's attendance at a hospital opening in Copenhagen. Letter dated 1910 regarding T D Dunn's research into haemophilia.</p>
<p>Letters dated 1911 regarding albinism; Pearson's public disagreement with Victor Horsley [see PEARSON/11/1/2/115]; a proposal put to the Chancellor regarding the organisation of medical research, with recommendations for members of a council; Pearson's criticism of Newsholme; haemolysis, and statistical methods; the importance of improving the accuracy of medical statistics; and the <i>British Medical Journal</i>.</p>

<p>Letters dated 1912 regarding the <i>Treasury of Human Inheritance</i>; Pearson's disagreement with Harold Rischbieth; Beit scholarships; research into skin pigmentation and hair colour; and controversy surrounding the Tuberculosis Committee.</p>
<p>Letters dated 1913 regarding Royal Society fellowship; early meetings of the Medical Research Committee [plus enclosed attendance list], funding and potential avenues for research; research into albinism and tuberculosis.</p>
<p>Letters dated 1914 regarding pedigrees; oncology; and the future of the Medical Research Committee and Advisory Council [later Medical Research Council]. Includes a letter sent from Leonard Doncaster to William Bulloch dated 19 March 1914, enclosed with a letter from Bulloch to Pearson dated 22 March 1914. </p>
<p>Letters dated 1915 regarding polydactyly and heredity, with enclosed pedigree charts and clipping of John Muir, "Seven Generations of Polydactyly".</p>
