Description	Letter dated Dec 1883 from Karl Pearson to Henry Bradshaw about Veronica prayers and Cologne Bible. Letter dated 1st April with "87" added in pencil, from KP to Bradshaw. Pearson asks Bradshaw the date of a leaf from a printed copy of the work of St Ambrose. The pencilled year "87" following the date on the letter must be erroneous as Bradshaw died in February 1886. Most likely 1880-1884. The leaf itself can be found in a separate collection of early printed fragments with the reference number PRINT FRAG/2. It is from a copy of "Opera" by St Ambrose [Ambrosius] (Basel: Johannes Auerbach, 1492).
