AdminHistoryAbraham Farrar (1861-1944) was a pupil of Reverend Thomas Arnold, the founder of Spring Hill School for Deaf Boys in Northampton. Farrar was, in fact, the first deaf English person to be matriculated to a University (London in this case). He later pursued a career in law, and donated a comprehensive collection of book on the education of the deaf to John Rylands University Library.
