There are also diaries, maps and photograph albums relating to Selwyn Oxley, a mission worker who worked with the deaf in the 1920s and 1930s. A small number of items, including letters, photographs and a scrap book relate to the Reverend F W G Gilby, founder of the Jamaica Association for the Deaf during the 1930s. In addition there are several letters from Helen Keller, the deaf author and activist. |
