TitlePress cuttings scrapbook: Antisemitism, and TAC history
Date1943-1975
DescriptionA bound scrapbook of newspaper cuttings. The cuttings are annotated with the date of the article and the name of the newspaper.

This scrapbook includes a substantial number of newspaper cuttings from 1943, which are mainly taken from regional British newspapers. These cuttings consist of:

- articles and published letters expressing antisemitic views;
- published letters attacking published antisemitic views;
- articles debunking antisemitic tropes;
- articles covering the persecution of Jews in Europe during the war;
- the treatment of Jewish refugees in the UK.

From 1944 onwards, the cuttings are mainly taken from Jewish publications, and focus on the activities of the TAC. This includes meetings with local businesses, involvement in strike negotiations, and a long-running TAC enquiry c.1951. A small amount of clippings on Palestine and Israel are also included in this scrapbook.

One article in the scrapbook is in either Hebrew or Yiddish.
