AdminHistory | 'The TLRP held a seminar on 30th April 2001 at the University of Cardiff. The seminar was held to discuss the development of partnerships between researchers and research users and provide advice on practical action in support of the Programme’s strategies, activities and outputs.The day opened with a seminar by Professor Helen Roberts, City University, on her experience of best practice in securing impact from social science research. The seminar was followed by discussion groups on ‘Mediators, Change Agents and Opinion Formers’. The afternoon session heard a presentation by Mr Gary Grubb, Associate Director of Research for Education and Teaching Learning Programme Manager, Research Division, ESRC on Programmes, Projects and Their Interaction with Practice and Policy, followed by a brief discussion'.
[york seminar] 'The seminar began with Dr Janet Lewis of the Joseph Rowntree Foundation on her experience of best practice in securing impact from social science research. This was followed by a discussion on how the Programme can work with organisations and individuals who can act as mediators/champions/change agents for the Programme’s activities.
