Description	Correspondence with the Directors of the Institutes of Education regarding the provision of courses for married women who were intending to return to teaching. The Ministry of Education had suggested that Institutes should look to provide courses in conjunction with Local Education Authorities (LEAs). Also includes a press release from the Ministry of Education and the draft circular regarding the 'year of intermission' 1962-1963 when no teachers would qualify due to the extension of the qualification from two to three years. The circular includes information on the need for married female teachers to return to work to help fill this gap.
