Description	Correspondence from Lionel Elvin, Director of the University of London Institute of Education enclosing letters he sent to the Association of Teachers in Colleges and Departments of Education in response to circulars by the Association stating their opposition to the membership of the Robbins Committee stating that no one with 'direct experience and knowledge of work within the training colleges' had been invited to be a member. The statement reignited discussion about 'mistrust' of the Institutes of Education. The file also includes the ATCDE's circulars and correspondence from other members of the CID.
