Description	Correspondence mainly between Professor Tibble (Secretary of CHUDE), Professor Judges (Chair of CHUDE), Edith Atherton (Secretary of the Association of Teachers in Colleges and Departments of Education - ATCDE) and P R Odgers of the Ministry of Education regarding procedures for the new central registration scheme for prospective students. The scheme was introduced after the training capacity in universities in England and Wales were expanded. It was designed to streamline the application system for students and as a means to gather more information on prospective graduates applying to enter teaching. Also includes: Correspondence from the University Departments of Education (UDEs) regarding meetings and estimations for student numbers, numbers of applications (including successful) and numbers of students on the one-year course Notes on problems faced by UDEs regarding the application process before the introduction of the registration scheme
