It was organised by the Research and Development Committee to discuss the the present situation and future co-ordination of educational research and development in the United Kingdom. The event was followed up in May the following year by a conference of representatives of educational research and development funding agencies. Includes a survey of educational research and development by the Education Committee of the OECD, November 1972.
