Description	Comprises papers and correspondence regarding the meetings of the committee from February to November 1974. The committee met to discuss mainly initial courses, such as the BEd including the In-service BEd degree course. Most of the papers discuss plans for a new BEd degree course, the introduction of a Diploma in Higher Education, the transfer of credit between programmes, validation of courses. All discussions were in response to plans set out by the Government White Paper 'Education: a frameowrk for expansion' to introduce a Diploma in Higher Education that could be topped up to a degree. Includes a joint UCET/CNAA (Council for National Academic Awards) paper on 'A new BEd degree'. Also includes correspondence on courses for teachers of 'mentally handicapped' children.
