AdminHistory | Standing Committee E was established to deal with research and future developments in teacher education. As far as possible all the interests involved were represented on this committee which consisted of ten members elected by the Council at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). From May 1969 a new Research Committee was established that took on the role of Standing Committee E. From 1970 the committee was called the Research and Development Committee. In 1993 UCET and PCET (Polytechnics Council for the Education of Teachers) merged to become a larger UCET. At this point the committee structure of UCET was reorganised and the work of the Research Committee was taken on by a new Research and Development Committee. The papers of this committee are catalogued at UCE/C/14. |
