| Description | Folder 1: Includes correspondence from Cecil Roth relating to his research into the collection, notes on suggested re-housing, purchases of books, plus a copy of a letter from Philip P Graves regarding the lawsuit [the Berne Trial] concerning the uncovering of the forgery of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion and a letter from Reverend Michael Adler, of The Jewish Historical Society in England, to Mr Wilks, enclosing a letter from Michael Henry to Dr A Asher, dated 24 May 1872, regarding the translation of an unknown Hebrew text. Also included are two documents written in Hebrew.
Folder 2: Includes hand drawn rough plans of the Mocatta Library, Tuck Lecture Theatre and DMS Watson Library basement, ms draft of a report on the library in 1990, ms notes on 'Staffing and use of the library' [1990], lists of books receievd at the Jewish Studies Library between January 1990 and November 1994 and a ts Accession List for Jewish Studies Library for 1997. |
