Description | Reports written by Elsie Fisher in her job as an NUWT Organiser. Organiser's were individuals whose job it was to visit branches in a given area and advice and encourage them on matters including membership drives, equal pay campaigns, and the organisation of meetings. These reports give details of the day-to-day activities of the Organisers. The reports include information on: Branch and county association committee meetings which the Organiser attended Opinions on the morale, effectiveness and participation of members of a particular branch or county association Reports of visits by the Organiser to new schools to try and recruit more members Reports of equal pay campaigns Reports of the health of members of the branches and members of local committees Reports of efforts members of the branches have undertaken to help spread NUWT propaganda and question National Union of Teachers (NUT) officials Notice of attendance numbers at meetings, inlcuding reports on the number of non-members Reports on Equal Pay campaigns in the area Reports of all the administration and general tasks which take up the time of the Organiser Reports of meetings and events set up and assisted by the Organiser Reports of visits by the Organiser to new or lapsed members Reports of movement of members between branches and county associations due to job changes and promotions Reports of any problems or discrimination which local members are facing in their place of employment or through their Local Education Committee |
