DescriptionCorrespondence between Ethel Froud and A. Muriel Pierotti (NUWT) and various organisations regarding a variety of issues around the subject of 'Fascism'. The correspondence also contains attached reports, publications and leaflets. The organisations with whom the NUWT correspondence are included below with information on the subjects discussed.

National Reinstatement Committee - report of dismissal of students from London School of Economics for protesting against censorship (this is covered in more depth in UWT/D/68/D
Equal Rights International - NUWT representation on a delegation to Lord Cecil, President of the League of Nations
National Federation of Professional Workers - circular letters detailing various miscarriages of justice and protests against new laws such as the Incitement to Disaffection BIll in 1934
Greater London Conference on Fascism, 1934 - NUWT request to the Joint Consultative Committee of the London Trades Council and the London Labour Party for copies of this circular to distribute to members
'The Jewish position' - correspondence with the Central Jewish Lecture Committee, the Federation Internationale des Ligues Contre L:'Antisemitisme and the National Council for Civil Liberties discussing the persecution of Jewish people, both in Germany and examples of anti-semitism in Britain
British Section of Women's world Committee Against War and Fascism - correspondence with the Colonial Office, the Home Office and various Members of Parliament urging them to rescue victims of Nazi persecution
NUWT involvement and support of calls to aid Jews suffering from Nazi persecution
Women's Committee for Peace and Democracy - correspondence regarding concerns over evacuation, concerns over the cases of six women teachers in France who were dismissed from their jobs, NUWT representation at meetings called by the Committee

NUWT joining in protests against the arrest of Professor Constantinescu, a Romanian teacha nd opponent of fascism, 1934 - 1935
