DescriptionCorrespondence between Ethel Froud (NUWT), NUWT members including Nan McMillan and Miss L. F. Clark, the National ARP Co-ordinating Committee, other unions and women's organisations including the Association of Women Clerks and Secretaries and the Women's International League, the Rt Hon Stanley Baldwin (Prime Minister), the Home Office, the War Office and the Foreign Office regarding NUWT concerns over proposals for the use of schools in Air Raid Precautions (A.R.P.) plans.
The correspondence covers:
Discussion of plans of Local Authorities to use schools as Base Hospitals under A.R.P. schemes
Cover letters sent to the Primei Minister and various Government Offices requesting they consider the concerns of the NUWT over A.R.P. schemes with regards to schools
Letters of acknowledgement from the Office of the Prime Minister and other Government Offices regarding receipt of the NUWT Resolution on A.R.P and the use of schools in A.R.P. schemes
Handwritten drafts of the NUWT Resolution
