This covers: Branch campaign activity regarding equal pay Resolutions passed at branch meetings Relations with local NUT branches (at this time the NUWT was still part of the NUT) Enquiries regarding membership conditions of the NUWT Discussion and arrangements for the setting up of new branches Discussion of the setting up of a War Aid Fund Campaign activity at NUT conferences Requests for information regarding salaries, status of women teachers, education grants and bills and other matters upon which NUWT members may be asked questions by those opposing equal pay Plans and arrangements for deputations to Local Education Authorities Donations from members Reports of branch meetings Discussion of deputations to London County Council Requests for visits to branches from Ethel Froud Requests for speakers for branch meetings News of social events and fundraising activities undertaken by branches Discussion of air raids, rationing and other problems in communication and travel caused by the war (in many cases every scrap of paper is written on due to paper shortages)
