DescriptionAudio-visual material, mainly relating to a symposium to celebrate the centenary of Lionel Penrose, but also relating to Penrose's self-replicating models and Kalmus and Fry's distorted tunes test. Comprises:

VHS tape labelled 'Lionel Penrose Demo of Models'; five cassette tapes labelled 'A celebration of the Centenary of Lionel Penrose', 13 March 1998, being a four part set, with two copies of tape number two. Two sets of photographs and one set of negative film of the Penrose centenary in 1998, which include a number of photographs of Roger Penrose demonstrating the self-replicating machines.
A small box containing two cassette tapes and two single reel tape cartridges. The box is labelled as recordings of Hans Kalmus and D B Fry's 'Distorted tunes test', published in 'Annals of Human Genetics', volume 43, May 1980. Tapes contain English and German tunes, and are accompanied by keys to the test. This file also contains some loose pages from an exam script booklet used to draft a paper on glycogen.
