AdminHistory | Swansea High School opened in 1888 under head mistress Minnie Elizabeth Vinter. The Welsh Intermediate Education Act of 1889 established county joint education committees with the power to establish schools to prepare pupils for university. The Company offered to transfer the school to the local authority but the transfer did not go through and the school was closed in June 1895. |
