AdminHistory | Carlisle High School opened on the 15th Jan 1884 at 19 Castle Street with 36 pupils under headmistress Isabella Bain. By 1909 the school building was inadequate and the Trust transferred the school to the local county council. The old school was closed and the school was reopened in a new building on Lismore Place and became Carlisle and County High School. Later became St Aidan's County High School and Specialist Sports and Science College. |
