Between the Wars the main building was extended. In 1930 the 2nd form moved to 'The Homestead' in Grove Road. In the 1930s the school provided a domestic sciences course for older pupils. In 1932 the upper juniors moved into Suffolk House and the lower juniors were transferred to the Homestead. In 1935 Suffolk House was extended to join the main building. Further buildings were also added to the site, the Science block in 1971, a swimming pool in 1972, the Garden building in 1990, and the Dene Sixth Form block (formerly the Dene Hotel) was opened in 2002.
