| Description | Papers regarding the Helen Bell prize for English at Nottingham High School. The fund was first raised by former pupils in 1917 to be awarded for the Oxford Local Examinations. In the 1930s the Nottingham Centre for the Oxford Local Examinations was to be closed and the trustees of the fund gave it to the trust as an English prize for the school. Marked '59'. |
