| Description | Papers regarding the inter-school Mary Gurney Leaving Scholarship. In 1918 the head mistresses raised a memorial fund toward creating a classics scholarship in the memory of Mary Gurney. In 1971 the awards were augmented with income from the Marguerite Nicholson bequest. Includes:
1) Papers regarding the formation of the scholarship, 1921-1925, and notes on the history of the scholarship, 1979. Open
2) Papers regarding alterations to the regulations of the scholarship, 1945-1974. Open.
3) Papers regarding scholars who were awarded the scholarship, including some essays about their travels, 1950, 1962-1972. Closed for 80 years under the Data Protection Act (1998).
