Including copies of "The Atlantic Charter" and the Prime Minister's Statement on Basic English, for purposes of comparison (1944). Correspondence between C K Ogden and Harold Orton regarding the British Council Advisory Committee on English Oversees (1942-1943) which includes C K Ogden's Memorandum to the British Council (1943) and an annotated abstract from his letter to Benjamin Ifor Evans. The file also includes a letter and accompanying advertisement for a Mark Xa from E M G Hand-made Gramophones Ltd.
