The post was supported by the Ministry of Overseas Development job description letter from Canon Mason to LJ Lewis from Ibadan where he was teaching for a year. He discusses pressures he is under to act as director; lecturing he has been engaged in; liaison between the Institute and associate colleges; being asked by the Permanent Secretary of Education for Benin to plan, build and establish a new college for education as they missed out after the Ashby report; and his desire to stay in Nigeria letter to LJ Lewis from the Ministry of Education, Benin, GNI Enobakhare requesting Canon D Mason be released by the Ministry of Overseas development so he can take the position of Provost of Abraka College of Education; letters regarding move to Benin (where he eventually took the post of Permanenet Secretary at the Ministry of Education; possibility of sending students to the IOE vartious other papers regarding his relationship to the IOE
