This also includes communications between the Institute and other organisations such as UNESCO, the World Bank, the EEC (now the European Union), the British Council, and a Committee of Inquiry into the Education of Children from Ethnic Minority Groups (1981).

The papers in this file include the following:

- internal correspondence and reports from various departments at the Institute, regarding the recruitment of international students;
- correspondence with educational institutions in various other countries;
- memos regarding the establishment of an External Relations Office;
- formal agreements of cooperation and collaboration between the Institute and educational institutions in other countries;
- articles, press cuttings and newsletters regarding international students;
- information about the structure of courses;
- two bound 1979 reports by the Overseas Student Trust: ‘Overseas Students And Government Policy 1962-1979’, and ‘Overseas Students in Britain; Some Facts And Figures’.
