Description	Papers of a Working Party on Overseas Student Recruitment, which discussed ways to recruit international students to study at the at the Institute of Education. Documents in this file state that the Working Party was formed due to the threats to the Institute’s financial position resulting from the UK government’s increase to fees for international students, and cuts to “Court grants”. This file contains: - Statistical printouts and tables regarding international students at the Institute in the 1970s; - A copy of the final report of the working party (48 pages, plus appendices). The appendices include details of a questionnaire given to international students regarding their experiences at the Institute, and details of comments submitted to the working party from the Institute’s various departments. - meeting minutes and agendas; - memos and correspondence; - a report regarding co-operation between the Institute and the College of Preceptors.
