AdminHistoryThe Centre was established in June 1985 to provide a networking facility for teachers and researchers concerned with gender, sexuality, anti-sexist practice in schools and colleges, and women's issues. It was the only such centre in the UK and held seminars, conferences and day schools. It helped to develop equal opportunities programmes in schools, in conjunction with the Inner London Education Authority (ILEA).
